Ty's Blessing Day

Sunday November 28 we blessed Ty. It was a crazy day of snow. It all turned out OK and he got a beautiful blessing by Jeremy. The outfit drowned him but he still looked adorable. This is how he felt about it.
We just love him.

I was set to be induced on 10-6. We were so excited to finally see baby Ty. They started my on Pitocien about 9 because I was already having contractions on the own. By 11 I could tell my epidural was not working. They tried everything in there power to get it going but I transitioned so fast that there was no luck. He was born at noon exactly. He weighed in at 8lbs 6 oz and 20 in long. He has a lot of hair. Well he came so fast that he aspirated some fluid. They took him right back to the nursery. For 3 days they really couldn't find anything wrong with him. He started doing better and was able to come out of the nursery for feedings and to see his brothers and sister. On Saturday they were going to let me take him home on oxygen and belly lights. There was one nurse convinced me to leave him one more night and have him off of lights and take him home the next day. So I stayed at my parents house because they live 5 minutes from the hospital around 3 in the morning I got a phone call saying that Ty's fever was 103 and his heart rate was 220. They needed my verbal permission to run all kinds of test. I hurried over to the hospital with my parents and Jeremy met us there. His little body was burning up. It was heart breaking to see his little body hooked up to all the machines. Finally that day we figured out he had pneumonia. He would have to be on antibiotics for 7 days before he could come home. That 7 days was full of emotions. I was torn between staying home with my other kids and being at the hospital with Ty. Lucky we have wonderful family that stepped up and took the kids everyday. The kids were awesome through the whole thing. By Thursday things were looking up. He became more alert and he finally started opening his eyes. They let me start to feed him as well. By Saturday he was doing well enough he got to come home on oxygen. It was like Christmas at our house. The kids were so excited to finally have there brother home. Ty is a joy in our family and we wouldn't change him for the world. He is a great sleeper and only wakes up once a night. We are still working on feeding, but he is getting better. He is 3 weeks now and it is going by way to fast if you ask me. As of Monday we are off of oxygen. That is the best feeling to be cord free. He is much happier as well. Thank you to all of my ward and family members who helped out for the last 3 weeks. The dinners and watching of my kids have been much appreciated.

Baby Ty

This is our new addition. Baby Ty.. He is one of the sweetest things to come into our lives. Right now he is still at the hospital and will for be at least another week. He has pneumonia. He is fighting with all he has right now. Please if you don't mind say a little prayer for him. We sure do love him and cant wait for him to come home to us.

Emma turns 5

Emma turned 5 this week. How time flies. We cannot believe that she is 5 already.
This is what we always remember her as when she was a baby. Just chunky as can be.

This was her on the morning of her birthday before school. She was so excited for the day to begin. For her birthday we had her party at Mcdonalds. The kids had fun playing and eating and just being kids. We sure do love her and she will always be the princess in the family mixed with boys.

Boys Camping Trip

Jeremy took Caleb camping this last weekend. They had to hike in and were really roughing it. Poor Jeremy I think carried both packs and Caleb at one point. Caleb loved every minute of it and they are counting down until they can go again.

New School Year

The kids started back to school a few weeks ago. (I know I am a little late) They love every minute of it.
Emma started kindergarten. She loves her teacher and comes home excited about what she does everyday.

Caleb started 1st grade. He loves going all day, eating lunch at school and his friends in his class.

This is Jocey. She is my neighbors little girl and she is 3 months younger then Truman. Truman is obsessed with her. He will walk around the house and say her name all day. The moment he sees her outside he is at the door crying wanting to go and play with her. They truly have a love hate relationship. It has gotten better over the last couple of months. I know in the future these 2 are going to give us an eventful teenage years. We love you Jocey.

First Stitches

Truman is by far my most adventurous child. I said when he started walking that he would be my first to have to have stitches. Yesterday morning he was in Jeremy's office and fell and hit his head on the corner of his desk. He cried for just a minuted, I gave him some love and went on my way. Not 5 minutes later I see blood dripping down his face. I took him in and they decided he needed stitches. He was amazing. He had to keep the cotton ball on his head for 30 min and I think he told me ouch twice.
When the Doctor came in to do his stitches he wrapped him up like a burrito and he just laid there. He didn't cry when he go the shot or the 3 stitches. By the time we got home you would of never guessed something happened to him. He got on his bike and we riding down the street.

I wish I could say this will be the last for him. But I know it isn't. He will keep me on my toes for the rest of my life. You just cant help but smile when you see these pictures.

Truman turned 2 this last week. I cant believe he is that old already. We had a little birthday for him at our club house. He got a new bike, a new car some books some awesome clothes and his favorite present by far was a Thomas the Train ride on toy. He still is very obsessed with trains. We love you Truman and here is to the next year of your life.

We had the wonderful experience to take our kids to Disneyland. I cant even explain how magical it was. We went for 4 days which was perfect. Caleb was able to go on most of the rides and enjoyed them all. His favorite was Star Tours. Emma loved meeting all of the princesses. She also loved Splash Mountain and Buzz Lightyear. Truman was the cutest with the characters. The picture of him with Donald explains our whole trip. He loved Buzz Lightyear ride as well. The kids are already talking about when we are going back. I am glad that we took the time to do this as a family.

This is Charlie. He belongs to one of my neighbors. He is still very much a puppy. He is very sweet and loving. Whenever he breaks out of his house he runs up to ours gets under the fence and plays with Traitor. I think it will keep Traitor young. His owners always now when I call Charlie has gotten out. Most everyone knows that I have a soft spot for dogs. So when Charlie comes over I really don't mind.

Halloween was a lot of fun this year. The kids new exactly what they wanted to be. They new how to go up to the doors and come home with a good amount of candy.

Caleb has had an eventful month. At the first of the month he lost his first tooth. He was such a tuff guy. Just let me pull it out without crying. Also this month I took him in and got his eyes checked and he needed glasses for school and reading. He was so excited to get them. What even made it better is they came in blue.

A few weeks ago we watched my parents dog while they went on vacation. We ended up having 2 labs and 1 schnauzer for a week. It was crazy but we had a blast. While they were gone I gave them a shower. When it gets cold outside I will bath Traitor in our shower. Well Maggie wanted in on it too. So the 2 dogs and I got in the shower. It was crazy and looked miserable, but it got the job done. This is the 3 of them while I was up late working. The just made me laugh.

The New Toy

We have been talking about getting bunk beds for the kids for a while now. Our good friend is an amazing carpenter. Once he built these I fell in love. The kids absolutely love them Right know Caleb sleeps on the top, Emma on the bottom and Truman in his crib all in the same room. The first night that we had them they wouldn't calm down and go to sleep. I went and told them that if they didn't we would take them back and they would go to there old beds. That morning I heard Truman talking in his bed, I waited for a few minutes and went in and Emma said "We stayed in our beds." I think I like this new arrangement. Thank you to my wonderful sister who gave me the comforters. They work great.

Kennecott Copper Mine

On Saturday we went to the Copper Mines. It was so much fun the kids loved the big trucks. It was amazing how much it has grown since I was little and went. I recommend it to anyone who wants something cheap and close for the kids.

Emmas Birthday

Emma turned 4 back in August. She is getting so big. For her birthday we had a Tea Party. All the girls brought there favorite doll and wore there prettiest dress.

Here they are enjoying cupcakes and lemonade. They made a cute bunch of little girls.

They made frames and put pictures of all of them with there dolls in it. They worked so hard on them.

It has been a wonderful year with Emma is will be fun to see what the next year brings.

First Day of School

Caleb and Emma both started school this week. They have been patiently waiting all summer for it to start. Caleb started Kindergarten this year. I can believe that he is that old. He goes 5 days a week and loves every minute of it.

Emma started preschool this year. She has the most amazing teacher who we love. She goes three days a week. (Yes Truman and I are very much enjoying the long afternoon naps) She loves to get ready and even lets me curl her hair. She is taking it all in like a pro.

Cross Stitching

My sister does amazing cross stitching. For all of my kids she has made them a one with there name and birth date on it. They are amazing, even the back looks good. Days of 47 Parade

Last night Jeremy slept out down town for the 24Th of July parade. He took Caleb and Emma with him and they had a blast. I had to work so I met him downtown the next morning. I will post more pictures later. The crowds weren't as bad as I thought they would be. I think this will be a family tradition every year. Great memories.

Truman by far is the busiest kid that we have. He is into everything, on everything, but is doing it with a big smile on his face. He brings a lot of joy to us.

This is our new problem. He loves to climb on the table and stand. He is going to be our first child with stitches, I see it already.

4th of July

For the 4Th this year we went to the Granite parade with my parents. The kids loved the parade. My dad owns an old convertible that he drove in it. The kids along with Jeremy got to ride along with him It was such a wonderful day to be with family.

Emma's New Dresser

My mom and friend Chelsea have been talking about redoing Emma's dresser for a long time. We finally started it and they were great and finished it up over the weekend. Emma just loves it. It fits great into her room, it makes it so girly. I just love it. Thank you Mom and Chelsea for all of your hard work. It is greatly appreciated.

Fun in the Gardens

My neighbor had the great idea to go down to Thanksgiving point gardens and let the kids run and play. We were there a long time but it was a blast. We walked around the main gardens first and they were beautiful. Our favorite was the Secret Garden. The 3 moms decide we want to go and hide in there and just relax. Here is the gang of kids.

Emma has one of her Dance Performances at the Riverton Arts Festival on Friday. She did amazing. She has such a passion for it. She will have her full recital on Tuesday, unless it gets rained out again. Lets hope it doesn't I think she might be heart broken.

Caleb Graduated

This is a little late posting, but Caleb Graduated from preschool. He has gone to the same preschool for 2 years and has loved every minute of it. He has learned a lot everyday he says something new and I know he learned it from Miss Karen. We sure have loved her and cant wait until Emma starts with her this fall. Caleb is excited to start Kindergarten and ask almost everyday if it is time to start school.

No More Training Wheels.

It started today when our neighbor Rachel started learning to ride without training wheels. So we gave Caleb a ride on her smaller bike. He caught onto it really fast. So I took of the training wheels on his big bike and off he went. He rode for about 4 hours today up and down the street. I am so proud of him. Please ignore me in the back ground.

Truman turned one yesterday. I cant believe how this past year has gone by so fast.

Truman has hit the stage in his life where he is full a bruises. This is what happened at church today. The bruise came instant along with the bump. It is looking better but it will be a few days before it is healed. At least he is smiling about it.

Last week Jeremy took Emma on a date. It was the cutest thing. She was so excited, she wanted her hair curled just for her date with daddy. She told me that I couldn't go that Truman and I had to stay home and watch a movie. They ended up going to Red Robin for dinner and then Walmart for a toy. I think we will make this a tradition.

Truman got his first hair cut this last week. It was getting kinda shaggy. This is the before picture when we had gotten it all wet.

Going to Disneyland

So our family goal this year is to go to Disney Land. Our kids are very excited about it and ask all the time when can we go. The other day they were playing upstairs and came down and told Jeremy and I that they were going to Disneyland. They both had 2 backpacks each, lots of toys and had even thought about packing there swim suites. I cant wait until we actually go. They are going to love it.

Truman is at such a fun age. He is the busiest of the 3 kids at this age. He spends 95 % of his day in my kitchen pulling everything out. He has 4 teeth and one on the way. He is crawling all over the place and is very fast. He is still very much a mommas boy. Sometimes it is nice and sometimes I wish he would become a daddy's boy.

This is how I found him today. He was so happy.
He also has figured out how to clap and stand up without holding on to anything. He did this 5 or 6 times and he would have a big grin on his face. He is not far from walking. That just opens up a whole new world.

9 Months

Truman has gotten so big. He is definitely the joy in our life. He now weighs in at 21 lbs. He is all over the place. He pulls himself up on furniture and now has started walking around the coffee table.

This walker has become our lifesaver. He gets around quicker and loves it when the kids push him around.

This is how he spends most of his day. He will stand on his head and push himself around. I am just waiting for a bald spot on top of his head.

I love going in and seeing him asleep.

All in all he is a very happy boy.

Today the kids and I went down to hang out with my parents and my friend Chelsea. When I got there my mom and Chelsea came out to help me get the kids out of the car I looked at Chelsea and just started laughing. We had worn the same outfit. Who does that? I think I have done it once in middle school. I wouldn't of wanted to do it with anyone else. Love ya Chels.

Caleb turned 5

Caleb turned 5 on Saturday. He is so excited to be 5. I can't believe he is that old. Where has the time gone. We just did a family party this year and took him to Jungle Jims. I couldn't of imagined how much fun they would have. They went on every ride multiple times.

All Caleb really wanted was Legos. That even makes him sound like a big boy. We also got him a VSmile motion. It is fun to watch him move the remote around. He is much better then I am.

All in all it was a great day. We got to spend it with family and friends. Happy Birthday Caleb.

Christmas at last...

We had a wonderful Christmas. We spent the night at my parents just in case Jeremy had to snow plow. The kids loved it. They threaten Grandpa not to eat Santa's cookies.

They got cute matching Christmas jammies from Nana and grandpa and they looked adorable.

Ever since I was little we would take pictures on the stairs. The kids could hardly stand waiting to go and see what Santa had brought for them. Truman is sitting on Jeremy's lap and I don't know why Emma's eyes are closed.

Truman got a cute blanket from my mom. It is the softest thing. I know you cant see his face but I still thought this was cute.

Caleb got more Trains for Christmas. We added on the airplane to his Geo tracks. With all of the pieces he already had it took up my parents basement. Emma got a lot of princes stuff and Tinkerbell. She loved it.

This is the kids with there great grandpa. He came over with Jeremy's parents to see what the kids got.

Overall we had a great Christmas. Jeremy went out and plowed the whole night of Christmas. (I will admit I prayed for snow. Snow means money. Which means I am going to start praying again.) Thanks to my parents for letting me crash for 2 days. We had a wonderful time and can't wait to see what the new year brings.

RULES OF THE COOKIES

1. If you eat a Christmas cookie fresh out of the oven, it has no calories because everyone knows that the first cookie is the test and thus calorie free.

2. If you drink a diet soda after eating your second cookie, it also has no calories because the diet soda cancels out the cookie calories.

3. If a friend comes over while you're making your Christmas cookies and needs to sample, you MUST sample with your friend. Because your friend's first cookie is calories free, rule #1 is yours also. It would be rude to let your friend sample alone and, being the friend that you are, that makes your cookie calorie free.

4. Any cookie calories consumed while walking around will fall to your feet and eventually fall off as you move. This is due to gravity and the density of the caloric mass.

5. Any calories consumed during the frosting of the Christmas cookies will be used up because it takes many calories to lick excess frosting from a knife without cutting your tongue.

6. Cookies colored red or green have very few calories. Red ones have three and green ones have five - one calorie for each letter. Make more red ones!

7. Cookies eaten while watching "Miracle on 34Th Street" have no calories because they are part of the entertainment package and not part of one's personal fuel.

8. As always, cookie pieces contain no calories because the process of breaking causes calorie leakage.

9. Any cookies consumed from someone else's plate have no calories since the calories rightfully belong to the other person and will cling to their plate. We all know how calories like to CLING!

No Water

Nap Time

So working late nights I try to take a nap during the day. Jeremy offered to watch the kids so I wouldn't be bothered. This is what I came down the stairs to. I guess it is better then sleeping and not knowing what they are up too.

Christmas lights on Temple Square

We decided to fight with the cold and crowds and went down to Temple Square to see the lights. This was the first time we have done it and the kids had a wonderful time.

Jazz Game

Last night Jeremy was able to take Caleb and his nephew Cameron to the Jazz game. They had a great time. As they were leaving Jeremy was talking to Caleb and asking him about it. I guess they talked about the Jazz bear, the food they were able to get and eat, the game and the best part Jeremy asked him what his favorite part was, and he said the dancing girls. What are we in store for? I don't know if I am ready for it.

Truman is 6 months

Truman is turning 6months this week. How time flies. He is quite the chunk. Weighing in at 18.4 pounds. He smiles every time you look at him. As for now he is a mommas boy. But I am sure that is going to change.

This is Truman with one of his girlfriends Addie. She lives across the street. I watched her one day and they had fun. I put them face to face and Truman went right after her socks and tried chewing on her feet. Addie is 2 months older then him but I hope they will be friends. As you can tell my son is just as big or bigger then she is.

Yellow Dog

This last week we got to meet an amazing dog. He belongs to my sister and her family. They recently bought him from the shelter. His name was Yellow dog (taken after the dog in Funny Farm). In our family pets are not just pets they are part of our family. He was the sweetest thing. He would let all the kids love on him and climb all over him. He would sit and stare at you as you ate until you would give him a piece. Everyone fell in love with him as soon as we walked through the door. Cartwrights are thoughts are with you. Yellow dog was meant to be in your family. He truly was special. He will be missed.

Trip to Denver

The kids and I were able to go to Denver this last week for a vacation. We rode out with my parents and the kids did amazingly well. We were able to see my sister and brother and there families.

This is my sister Kiora and Truman. They adored eachother.

This is all of the kids. Boston is the oldest and then Zane, Mary, Jack, Caleb, Lilly, Emma and Truman

We went to the Zoo. They have a wonderful one. Here is Caleb and Boston.

At the zoo they have a place were you can go in and feed the birds. It was way cool. Emma wasn't afraid at all.

We had a wonderful time and cant wait until we can go back. Thanks to my sister for taking us all in.

Silly Emma

We went to a corn maze this week (I'll post pictures later) and Jeremy was carrying Emma on his shoulders for most of the time. He said Emma why don't you carry me, I'm tired. She said in her cute little voice no and he asked why and she said. "Because you are to heavy like Jesus." Where did she come up with that? What would we do without the children who make us laugh.

My neighbor had the fun idea to do gingerbread houses. We had never done them but I think it is going to be a tradition. Jeremy was even able to make it.

Last week I had the joy of going out with friends from high school. We seem to get together at least some of us once a year. We went through all of high school together. It is so fun to see how everyone and there families have grown. I will have to say I have the most kids, but they are catching up.

Fun week of Animals

We had a fun week of going and seeing the animals. First of all we went with me neighbor Carly and her cute kids to Wheeler Farm. It was a beautiful day. The ducks were out of control and very friendly. They saw we had bread and came right up to us. One even started trying to eat my stroller. Not the brightest.

Then on Thursday it was my neighbors little boys Birthday. Logan was turning two so we decided to go to the Zoo. The animals were out playing because it wasn't to hot. It was great.

So I have been tagged thanks to Maria. 6 Random things about me.

1. I always have to check on my kids before I go to bed. Just enough to see if I can hear them still breathing. If something ever happened in the middle of the night then I know I did all I could do.

2. I iron almost everything. I got that from my sister. I iron shirts, pants, my kids clothes. I think the clothes look better. I know I am crazy. Sometimes it takes me a couple of hours if I put it off for a while. But on a side note, my sister does iron her pj's so I am not so crazy.

3. I love when Jeremy will cook. He makes killer Mexican food.

4. My mom and I have the same Birthday. It is the coolest thing ever. It is fun to share that with her.

5. I hate being late. I will wake up way early just to be on time. I set out clothes the night before along with getting the diaper bag ready. Especially to church now that they make us all sit up front. That is more then enough motivation for me.

6. My cell phone is my life. If I ever lost it I would be in big trouble. I wouldn't know anyone's numbers. I always have it on me.

Truman just started eating rice cereal this week. He gets so excited when I put him in his high chair. He laughs and smile the whole time.

He takes after his daddy. BYU all the way.

He has also figured out where his toes are. They are the best toy ever. Between his fingers and toes he is entertained for hours.

Today Jeremy and I have been married for 6 years. It has been a wonderful 6 years. It goes by so fast. We have come a long way. He is truly my best friend and I can tell him anything. Princess Emma

Emma turned 3 over the weekend. It just seems like yesterday she was my chunky little baby and now she is all grown up. She had so much fun and came home with a lot of princess toys. Every present she would open it and say "Oh I love it." She sure is a big part of the family and we don't know what we would do without her. She does something new everyday and constantly making us laugh. She is such a big girl now.

I just want to take a minute to tell you about my sister Nurel. She is the greatest sister anyone could ask for. Sunday why we were at church for the blessing her and J'Anne came and got the food out and did the last little things to get ready for us to come home. She is the greatest Aunt to my kids. They just adore her. If you look at Caleb most of the clothes he wears she has bought. She keeps him in style. If Emma gets hurt and Nurel is around she wont come to me she goes to her first. I don't know what she is going to do when Truman gets old enough to want her as well. I don't worry about my kids if she is with me because I know she always has an eye on them. She always will listen if I am having a bad day. I am so glad that I have her. I don't know what I would do if she wasn't around. We love you Aunt Rel.

Truman Blessing

Truman's blessing was a wonderful day. He was such a good boy. I feel so blessed to have Jeremy be able to give him his blessing. He did a wonderful job.

First Day of School

Caleb started his second year of preschool this week. It is really hard for me to realize that he is getting that old. He loves his teacher Ms Karen. If you are looking for a preschool I highly recommend going to her. Copper Creek Preschool. She is great.
